2024 marks the 100th anniversary of the Olympic Games in Paris, and also of the National Jean-Jacques Henner Museum! On 7th March 1924, Léon Bérard, the Minister for Public Instruction and Fine Arts, inaugurated the National Jean-Jacques Henner Museum. It was created by the donation of Marie Henner, widow of Henner’s nephew Jules, in 1923 – almost 20 years after the Alsatian painter’s death.

This themed exhibition highlights the museum’s first hundred years of existence and pays tribute to the women and men who have served as keepers of Henner’s memory and of the museum itself. Objects and documents from the museum’s archives, shown alongside a full illustrated timeline, will take you back in time from 2024 to 1924.
