"A Stroll Through the Henner Museum" by Benoit Menut

As part of a 2016 partnership with the Jean-Jacques Henner National Museum and with support from the Ministry of Culture (fund to encourage amateur artistic practices), the Paris de Vents ensemble commissioned composer Benoît Menut to create a musical work inspired by the painter’s works.
"Promenade au musée Henner" is an eight-movement piece for wind ensemble composed by Benoît Menut based on 8 paintings by Jean-Jacques Henner.

The work is performed by the Paris de Vents ensemble. Founded in 2012, this amateur wind ensemble of 11 musicians is led by two renowned professional musicians (Fabrice Colas, conductor; Didier Costarini, principal oboist of the Garde Républicaine).
