Storytelling tour
School audience
An enchanted journey through canvases
What is its spspecificity and what do we discover there?
Our storytellers invite students to discover the museum in a different way, drawing on the stories whispered by the works themselves: fairies, fantastical stories, nursery rhymes and other poems come to life as they explore the mansion's preserved decor. This immersive, participatory approach as you wander through the building summons both the senses and the imagination.
What tour setting and for whom?
The tour is paced to keep children's attention throughout. Movements are made to the sound of soft music, and each stage is punctuated by the discovery of an object to familiarize them with the collections. During this stroll, all their senses are put to work.
This proposal enables students to experience the museum space in a different way. It opens up another way of accessing the singular world of the museum, and can be a first step in the artistic and cultural education pathway. Finally, the storytelling tour is based on the narration of the paintings, populated by myths, biblical stories, tales and legends covered in class.
Speakers take into account the level of the students and the class.
Grades involved: cycle 1 / cycle 2 / cycle 3 / cycle 4
