Karolina Tomaszweska

Born in Poland, Karolina Tomaszewska is a student in Professor Rena Shereshevskaya's class at the École normale de musique de Paris Alfred Cortot. Ella studied at the F. Chopin University of Music with Professor Edward Wolanin and at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz in Cologne in the class of Professor Sheila Arnold. She also studied at the Anton Rubinstein International Music Academy in Düsseldorf with Dina Yoffe.

Winner of numerous international and Polish piano competitions. Received, among others: first prize and absolute winner of theCorato International Music Competition inItaly, first prize of the Luigi Zanuccolien International Competition Italy, first prize of the Frascatti International Mozart Piano Competition in Italy, first prize of the Miłosz Magin International Piano Competition in Paris, second prize of the American Protégé International Piano Competition in New York, second prize of the Barletta International Piano Competition in Italy, second prize at the Marathon International Piano Competition in Greece, third prize at the Rome "Chopin Roma" International Piano Competition,third prize at the Mariańskie Łaźnie International Chopin Piano Competition in the Czech Republic, special prize at the Brest International Piano Competition in France, third prize at the Jelenia Góra Polish Music Piano Competition in Poland.

She has taken part in international masterclasses with Kevin Kenner, Karl Heinz Kämmerling, Philippe Entremont, Alexei Lubimov, Michel Beroff, André Boain and Jacques Rouvier. She has performed in Poland, France, Greece, Russia, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Germany, Belgium, Holland, Austria, Spain, Italy and the USA. As winner of the American Protégé international piano competition, she made her Carnegie Chamber Hall debut. She has taken part in festivals such as: "Chopin Open", "La Folle Journée Festival", "Mazurkas of the World Festival", "Euregional Chamber Music Festival- Maastricht", International Festival "Musical Summer - Malaga". She won the Prix Pépite (IVe prix), instituted by the French Ministry of Higher Education, for the mobile application project for musicians, which is based on the latest scientific research and aims to improve musician productivity and retention.
