A century ago, the composer Gabriel Fauré passed away. Of provincial origin, he quickly became a true Parisian, willingly frequenting the worldly salons.

Deceased just over a century ago, Gabriel Fauré was an original composer who marked his era with his vocal and instrumental music. Although provincial, he became thoroughly Parisian, very active in churches, concert halls and society salons. Appreciated by his pupils, he played an important role in musical bodies.
